Western Pacific Naval Symposium's preluding workshop commences in Manila
🗓 February 12, 2020

WPNS WORKSHOP 2020 UPDATES| Syndicate discussions on the future direction of Western Pacific Naval Symposium (WPNS) were conducted on the second day of the WPNS Workshop 2020.

Participants were divided into three working groups to tackle, deliberate and exchange ideas on topics such as the Code for Unplanned Encounters at Sea (CUES), Business Charter, and Terms of References. Each group was expected to come up with final proposals to be presented to the body for deliberation.

The ongoing workshop serves as an avenue to outline the matters to be discussed during the symposium proper in May this year. It usually covers maritime issues of mutual interest; exchange of information; practice and demonstration of capabilities; and exchange of personnel.
